    Jobin Yvon S.A.S. is the leading manufacturer of Raman instrumentation and optical dispersive elements (gratings). Jobin Yvon S.A.S. has several activities in the optical and spectroscopic field. The Jobin Yvon Raman Division, about 65 people, is working only in the field of Raman Spectroscopy. The division is located in Villeneuve d’Ascq, nearby the University of Sciences and Technology of Lille. The R&D group, 15 people (10 Dr/engineers and 5 technicians), has activities in optics, mechanics, electronics and software. The Application Laboratory, 4 people (Dr/engineers), is involved in spectroscopic analysis for all kind of customer applications. The other members of the division are working in production: manufacturing, optical alignment, quality insurance, installation and service of the Raman instruments.

    Dr. Gwénaëlle Le Bourdon: 31 years old, PhD. in Physical Chemistry (spectroscopy), works as an application scientist at Horiba Jobin Yvon S.A.S., Raman division since January 2002. She is currently the manager of one of the application and demonstration laboratories for the Raman division (Application laboratory located in Villeneuve d'Ascq, France - team of 3 application engineers).


    Dr Michel Leclercq: 59 years old, PhD in Physical Chemistry (Raman Spectroscopy).Technical Manager at HORIBA Jobin Yvon S.A.S., Raman Division, he is involved in several patents and scientific publications. He has a very long experience in the development of monochromators and Raman spectrometers (Optics and Engineering). Since several years in charge of the following of large projects and specially European projects.

    Dr. Bernard Roussel: 58 years old, PhD in Physical Chemistry (Raman Spectroscopy). Head of R&D at HORIBA Jobin Yvon S.A.S., Raman Division, he is involved in several patents and scientific publications. He has a very long experience in Raman Spectroscopy (Optics and Engineering). Since some years in the framework of several projects, European ones or internal ones, he has got significant knowledge in fast acquisition of spectrum. He has got also a good knowledge in different aspects related to the semiconductor applied spectroscopy and handling.

    Role in the project:

    Development of professional stress and orientation analysis tooling and process based on the Raman effect operating at scanning speeds that are acceptable for large area solar cell applications; qualify the tool for research level size samples at advanced scanning
    speeds and reduced data acquisition times and analyze options for up-scaling the technique to analyze fab-level size modules.
